About Me

About Me

It’s alwasy strange writing your own about me. Something I got to get better at but here’s my attempt.

Clearly I’m Seif.

I currently work as an IT Project Manager in Higher Education, where I’ve had the chance to lead all kinds of projects: infrastructure, ERP, dev, integrations, but these days, my main focus has been building out my our PMO from the ground up. I built our entire project management framework, rolled out tools and templates, and even implemented Jira as our internal PM platform. Built dashboards, set up automations, and created systems that help the team stay organized and help leadership stay informed with real-time data, clean reports, the whole deal.

I hold certifications like PMP, CSM, CSPO, and a few others across AWS, Azure, ITIL, and Linux. This year, I’m aiming to get deeper into cybersecurity and earn my first cert in that space. I’m also involved in PMI-NJ and SIM-NJ to keep the professional and brain ticking.

Although I’m deep in higher ed IT, I love working with people from all industries. There’s always something new to learn from other fields, and I believe good project management is universal.

What I’m Building

Outside of the 9–5, I’ve got a few side projects I’m growing.

One of them is Yumna Farms A project I started with my wife to bring high-quality, authentic Middle Eastern products to the U.S. A lot of what’s sold here feels mass-produced and soulless (Owned by Private Equity). We wanted to do better. We source directly from small farms and businesses in Jordan. It’s real High Quality Virgin olive oil, real spices, ethically sourced, no shortcuts. We’re currently on Etsy and slowly growing the product line each month.

Another thing I’ve been working on is Trunomen, my own IT consulting arm that I’m building with a few friends. It’s still early, but it’s fun. We’re figuring it out as we go, helping folks with tech and strategy along the way.

I’m big on self-hosting and learning by doing. I’ve built out a full homelab, and I’m always trying out new tools and services. There’s a lot of power in understanding how all the pieces work. It makes me a better project manager and gives me more control over the things I build.

And When I’m Not Doing Tech Stuff…

I like cars and bikes. Anything two wheels, four wheels, Sim racing wheel, all of it. I used to track motorcycles a lot, but after a few too many crashes while exhilerating, I realized I wasn’t built for that life. I made the switch to cars lol. Much safer.

I’ve also volunteered as a track marshal for MotoAmerica, Formula E, and even Formula 1. Worked races like MotoAmerica NJ, the Brooklyn Formula E doubleheader, and the inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix. That whole scene is great and I met a lot of cool people, made some crazy memories. These days I mostly just spectate, but who knows, maybe I’ll get back on the marshalling side again someday.

I started this site to give myself a space to share ideas, document builds, and write about the stuff I enjoy. Whether it’s a tech deep-dive, business notes, travel blogs or anything motorsports related. I’ll be putting it here. If you made it this far, appreciate you for reading.
